Biological Treatment Summary

The Situation

A large, multi-plant down hole tube manufacturing firm had 18,000 cubic feet [510m³] of contaminated soil at one of their manufacturing plants. Soil analysis showed 2,100 ppm of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons, which were heavy diesel range organics. (DRO)

The Solution

The soil was treated with OBT® following standard Bio-Form LLC application and treatment procedures.

The Results

After five (5) weeks into the treatment program TPH levels were down to 20 ppm which were well below the necessary EPA clean up standards.

Since this clean up, the company has used OBT® in an ongoing remediation programs at a number of their plants for hydrocarbon spill remediations.
