Biological Treatment Summary

The Situation

A major University was "out of compliance" on grease emissions into the city sewer systems. The major source of grease was coming from the main cafeterias on campus.

The Solution

Bio-Form LLC proposed an ongoing treatment program using BZT® Waste Digester to treat the drainlines and grease traps in all of the cafeterias.

The Results

• The University immediately came into compliance for grease emissions.
• Because of this success in the cafeterias, the University is now treating all drainlines and bathrooms in all of the residence halls and student housing campus wide, which has dramatically decreased plumbing calls for plugged drains.
• Since the treatment program was started, the University cafeterias have gone over two years without any grease emission compliance problems.
