Biological Treatment Summary

The Situation

A commercial laundering facility faced compliance issues with the local wastewater treatment facility. The oil & grease levels in the company's wastewater discharge were well over acceptable limits. The company's wastewater treatment consisted of several, small volume holding sumps.

The Solution

Bio-Form LLC recommended a biological treatment protocol that treated the trench leading to the sumps as well as the individual sumps.

The Results

Since beginning the treatment protocol, the company has been within oil & grease permit standards. In addition, the company is experimenting with utilizing BZT® Waste Digester in the pre-soak portion of the wash cycle.
