This is the results of the force main treatment for the egg breaking plant located in Southwestern Indiana. The force main was treated in conjunction with a waste treatment system for the facility. The treatment was started in January 10, 2002. The force main was seeded, followed by a maintenance treatment.

The Wastewater Treatment Plant started seeing reduction in the COD at the plant after (5) weeks. Typical COD at the POTW averaged between 3,500 and 5,000. COD average for week (5) was 489.0 mg/l. The odors in the force main are gone. Both the egg plant and the POTW are extremely pleased with the program.
