WASTEWATER - URINE SCALE FORMATION IN WASTEWATER SYSTEMS

The Problem

Urine, human waste, and other organic matter such as kitchen waste, in combination with the minerals in sea water or hard water, cause the gradual buildup of a thick, hard layer on the inside of wastewater pipes. This layer restricts the smooth flow of both liquid and solid wastes, eventually leading to severely restricted flow or blockages.

The problem with urine scale is often multiplied in marine systems that use small flush volumes or in freshwater systems that use very hard water. The urine is either not diluted adequately or readily forms urine crystals with the hard water minerals, thus contributing to faster, more solid buildup. Solid wastes are not completely flushed through drainlines. Blockages occur frequently, often requiring drastic treatment with corrosive and hazardous-to-handle mineral acids, or with expensive physical means.

The Solution

Bio-Form LLC's BZT® Waste Digester, an all natural bacteria and enzyme formula, will eliminate or greatly reduce the ability for the waste layer to buildup and cause blockages. Using microbes originally isolated from natural sources and selected for their film-forming and organic digesting abilities, these products form a thin, continuous biofilm that lines the entire wastewater pipe and holding tank system. The highly digestive microbes remain imbedded in the biofilm and actively breakdown the organic wastes. BZT® Waste Digester not only provides these bacteria, but also has:
